Our Action Learning workshops are a unique combination of AL theory, ‘hands on’ practice and our own insights into what to do to help your Sets be really effective. You will learn:
a simple model which will clearly explain how to use Action Learning
the essential conditions which will help your Set to work well right from the start
the key skills, so you feel confident to use Action Learning straight away
how Action Learning 'fits' within the context of your own workplace
Action Learning Set Facilitator Skills (2 or 3-day Workshop)
A 2- or 3-day workshop specifically designed for people employed within organisations who want to start up and facilitate action learning Sets. It is suitable for people with some previous experience of training or facilitating groups, but previous experience of action learning is not required.

The workshop fee includes a comprehensive manual packed with materials you can use with your Sets and 1:1 follow up support. Please note that this is an intensive course and you work in a small, supportive group with individual input from the trainers. Action Learning Sets - Taster (2-hour Seminar)
A 2-hour seminar, for 5 - 40 people, which includes an introduction to AL, a short demonstration and the opportunity to explore how action learning can benefit you and your organisation.

An Introduction to Action Learning (1-day Workshop)
A 1-day workshop for 5 - 40 people, for those who want to learn more about action learning Set skills and principles. This is an experiential day which includes a briefing on AL theory, opportunities to practise AL skills and - in the afternoon - working in a real Set.

Carter Hall Associates is Sue Carter, Jan Hall and Mollie Treverton, a partnership of experienced trainers and coaches who work with organisations and individuals in the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors. We aim to make action learning known to a wider audience and to use our skills as coaches to contribute to the practice of action learning.
