Currently a senior associate with the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives(SOLACE Enterprises), Action Learning Associates and other national organisations, with a background in local government in personnel and education, Kate Pinder is an established national action learning facilitator, coach and development specialist at chief executive and senior manager level, with a demonstrable track record of successful delivery of management and organisational development, working with teams and individuals. Prior to her consultancy career Kate was a management development manager and adviser working in local authority settings as well as nationally, attached to the overarching development organisation. She is trained in a number of diagnostic tools including TLQ and other 360 feedback instruments,MBTI,emotional intelligence and psychometrics. She is an accredited mediator, and has coached and facilitated action learning sets in a variety of contexts, including housing, health and the voluntary sector. She has trained facilitators in a programme supported by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and has a partnership offering ILM certificate and diploma and other courses in coaching and mentoring. As a coach, she uses a variety of client centred and outcome focussed approaches, selecting her approach dependent on what works for the individual client, rather than following one school throughout . Kate has published a number of articles and book chapters on coaching and supervision and has completed a certificate in the supervision of coaches at Oxford Brookes, and a Masters level course at Sheffield Hallam in coaching and mentoring skills.
