Geographical areas where I work: SE Wales, Midlands, South West
My experience of action learning lies mainly in the public and voluntary sector. I currently facilitate sets with midwives, social care managers, social work practitioners and HE research supervisors. I have also facilitated sets with charities such as Drug Aid and Action for Children.
In 2008 I began to run action learning training courses for people who were keen on becoming facilitators themselves. The courses are accredited at two stages through the Institute of Leadership Management (ILM):
I deliver these courses through my organisation ecf training in Cardiff and Devon and I have also delivered them in house for organisations wishing to set up internal action learning sets. I am also in the process of setting up an Action Learning Set specifically for facilitators in South Wales.
As an action learning facilitator and trainer I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of wonderful and interesting teams and individuals. When I facilitate an action learning set I feel privileged to witness and be part of the journey of participants lives. I am passionate about action learning because I believe it makes a positive difference in the world and helps people listen, reflect and act effectively in handling challenge and opportunity in their lives.
