I have been an independent consultant for 10 years. Part of my work is coaching, mentoring and facilitation.

Over the last 3 years I have begun to use Appreciative Inquiry approaches in my work and also facilitated two action learning sets. One was for NACVS’s ALM (Action Learning for Managers) programme for voluntary sector managers. The other was for the Parkinson’s Disease Society where individuals living with Parkinson’s brought their issues on how they wanted to work to promote the patient agenda both with the NHS and with PDS itself.

I find I gain as much from the Sets as the members and participation has improved my own learning considerably.
